Exodus 26
1Moreover thou shalt make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: with cherubims of cunning work shalt thou make them. WEB“Moreover you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, with cherubim. You shall make them with the work of a skillful workman.
2The length of one curtain shall be eight and twenty cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: and every one of the curtains shall have one measure. WEBThe length of each curtain shall be twenty-eight cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits: all the curtains shall have one measure.
3The five curtains shall be coupled together one to another; and other five curtains shall be coupled one to another. WEBFive curtains shall be coupled together to one another, and the other five curtains shall be coupled to one another.
4And thou shalt make loops of blue upon the edge of the one curtain from the selvedge in the coupling; and likewise shalt thou make in the uttermost edge of another curtain, in the coupling of the second. WEBYou shall make loops of blue on the edge of the one curtain from the edge in the coupling, and you shall do likewise on the edge of the curtain that is outermost in the second coupling.
5Fifty loops shalt thou make in the one curtain, and fifty loops shalt thou make in the edge of the curtain that is in the coupling of the second; that the loops may take hold one of another. WEBYou shall make fifty loops in the one curtain, and you shall make fifty loops in the edge of the curtain that is in the second coupling. The loops shall be opposite one another.
6And thou shalt make fifty taches of gold, and couple the curtains together with the taches: and it shall be one tabernacle. WEBYou shall make fifty clasps of gold, and couple the curtains to one another with the clasps. The tabernacle shall be a unit.
7And thou shalt make curtains of goats’ hair to be a covering upon the tabernacle: eleven curtains shalt thou make. WEB“You shall make curtains of goats’ hair for a covering over the tabernacle. You shall make eleven curtains.
8The length of one curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: and the eleven curtains shall be all of one measure. WEBThe length of each curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits: the eleven curtains shall have one measure.
9And thou shalt couple five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves, and shalt double the sixth curtain in the forefront of the tabernacle. WEBYou shall couple five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves, and shall double over the sixth curtain in the forefront of the tent.
10And thou shalt make fifty loops on the edge of the one curtain that is outmost in the coupling, and fifty loops in the edge of the curtain which coupleth the second. WEBYou shall make fifty loops on the edge of the one curtain that is outermost in the coupling, and fifty loops on the edge of the curtain which is outermost in the second coupling.
11And thou shalt make fifty taches of brass, and put the taches into the loops, and couple the tent together, that it may be one. WEBYou shall make fifty clasps of bronze, and put the clasps into the loops, and couple the tent together, that it may be one.
12And the remnant that remaineth of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that remaineth, shall hang over the backside of the tabernacle. WEBThe overhanging part that remains of the curtains of the tent—the half curtain that remains—shall hang over the back of the tabernacle.
13And a cubit on the one side, and a cubit on the other side of that which remaineth in the length of the curtains of the tent, it shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle on this side and on that side, to cover it. WEBThe cubit on the one side and the cubit on the other side, of that which remains in the length of the curtains of the tent, shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle on this side and on that side, to cover it.
14And thou shalt make a covering for the tent of rams’ skins dyed red, and a covering above of badgers’ skins. WEBYou shall make a covering for the tent of rams’ skins dyed red, and a covering of sea cow hides above.
15And thou shalt make boards for the tabernacle of shittim wood standing up. WEB“You shall make the boards for the tabernacle of acacia wood, standing upright.
16Ten cubits shall be the length of a board, and a cubit and a half shall be the breadth of one board. WEBTen cubits shall be the length of a board, and one and a half cubits the width of each board.
17Two tenons shall there be in one board, set in order one against another: thus shalt thou make for all the boards of the tabernacle. WEBThere shall be two tenons in each board, joined to one another: thus you shall make for all the boards of the tabernacle.
18And thou shalt make the boards for the tabernacle, twenty boards on the south side southward. WEBYou shall make twenty boards for the tabernacle, for the south side southward.
19And thou shalt make forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for his two tenons, and two sockets under another board for his two tenons. WEBYou shall make forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for its two tenons, and two sockets under another board for its two tenons.
20And for the second side of the tabernacle on the north side there shall be twenty boards: WEBFor the second side of the tabernacle, on the north side, twenty boards,
21And their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board. WEBand their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.
22And for the sides of the tabernacle westward thou shalt make six boards. WEBFor the far side of the tabernacle westward you shall make six boards.
23And two boards shalt thou make for the corners of the tabernacle in the two sides. WEBYou shall make two boards for the corners of the tabernacle in the far side.
24And they shall be coupled together beneath, and they shall be coupled together above the head of it unto one ring: thus shall it be for them both; they shall be for the two corners. WEBThey shall be double beneath, and in the same way they shall be whole to its top to one ring: thus shall it be for them both; they shall be for the two corners.
25And they shall be eight boards, and their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board. WEBThere shall be eight boards, and their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.
26And thou shalt make bars of shittim wood; five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle, WEB“You shall make bars of acacia wood: five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,
27And five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the side of the tabernacle, for the two sides westward. WEBand five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the side of the tabernacle, for the far side westward.
28And the middle bar in the midst of the boards shall reach from end to end. WEBThe middle bar in the middle of the boards shall pass through from end to end.
29And thou shalt overlay the boards with gold, and make their rings of gold for places for the bars: and thou shalt overlay the bars with gold. WEBYou shall overlay the boards with gold, and make their rings of gold for places for the bars. You shall overlay the bars with gold.
30And thou shalt rear up the tabernacle according to the fashion thereof which was shewed thee in the mount. WEBYou shall set up the tabernacle according to the way that it was shown to you on the mountain.
31And thou shalt make a vail of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen of cunning work: with cherubims shall it be made: WEB“You shall make a veil of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, with cherubim. It shall be the work of a skillful workman.
32And thou shalt hang it upon four pillars of shittim wood overlaid with gold: their hooks shall be of gold, upon the four sockets of silver. WEBYou shall hang it on four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold; their hooks shall be of gold, on four sockets of silver.
33And thou shalt hang up the vail under the taches, that thou mayest bring in thither within the vail the ark of the testimony: and the vail shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy. WEBYou shall hang up the veil under the clasps, and shall bring the ark of the covenant in there within the veil. The veil shall separate the holy place from the most holy for you.
34And thou shalt put the mercy seat upon the ark of the testimony in the most holy place. WEBYou shall put the mercy seat on the ark of the covenant in the most holy place.
35And thou shalt set the table without the vail, and the candlestick over against the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south: and thou shalt put the table on the north side. WEBYou shall set the table outside the veil, and the lamp stand opposite the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south. You shall put the table on the north side.
36And thou shalt make an hanging for the door of the tent, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needlework. WEB“You shall make a screen for the door of the Tent, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, the work of the embroiderer.
37And thou shalt make for the hanging five pillars of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold, and their hooks shall be of gold: and thou shalt cast five sockets of brass for them. WEBYou shall make for the screen five pillars of acacia, and overlay them with gold. Their hooks shall be of gold. You shall cast five sockets of bronze for them.
