Psalm 104
1Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.WEBBless Yahweh, my soul. Yahweh, my God, you are very great. You are clothed with honor and majesty.
2Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:WEBHe covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain.
3Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:WEBHe lays the beams of his rooms in the waters. He makes the clouds his chariot. He walks on the wings of the wind.
4Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:WEBHe makes his messengers winds, and his servants flames of fire.
5Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.WEBHe laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved forever.
6Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.WEBYou covered it with the deep as with a cloak. The waters stood above the mountains.
7At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.WEBAt your rebuke they fled. At the voice of your thunder they hurried away.
8They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.WEBThe mountains rose, the valleys sank down, to the place which you had assigned to them.
9Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.WEBYou have set a boundary that they may not pass over, that they don’t turn again to cover the earth.
10He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills.WEBHe sends springs into the valleys. They run among the mountains.
11They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst.WEBThey give drink to every animal of the field. The wild donkeys quench their thirst.
12By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches.WEBThe birds of the sky nest by them. They sing among the branches.
13He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.WEBHe waters the mountains from his rooms. The earth is filled with the fruit of your works.
14He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;WEBHe causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may produce food out of the earth:
15And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man’s heart.WEBwine that makes the heart of man glad, oil to make his face to shine, and bread that strengthens man’s heart.
16The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;WEBYahweh’s trees are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted,
17Where the birds make their nests: as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.WEBwhere the birds make their nests. The stork makes its home in the cypress trees.
18The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies.WEBThe high mountains are for the wild goats. The rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers.
19He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.WEBHe appointed the moon for seasons. The sun knows when to set.
20Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.WEBYou make darkness, and it is night, in which all the animals of the forest prowl.
21The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God.WEBThe young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.
22The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.WEBThe sun rises, and they steal away, and lie down in their dens.
23Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.WEBMan goes out to his work, to his labor until the evening.
24O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.WEBYahweh, how many are your works! In wisdom, you have made them all. The earth is full of your riches.
25So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.WEBThere is the sea, great and wide, in which are innumerable living things, both small and large animals.
26There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.WEBThere the ships go, and leviathan, whom you formed to play there.
27These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.WEBThese all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season.
28That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.WEBYou give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good.
29Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.WEBYou hide your face; they are troubled. You take away their breath; they die and return to the dust.
30Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.WEBYou send out your Spirit and they are created. You renew the face of the ground.
31The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works.WEBLet Yahweh’s glory endure forever. Let Yahweh rejoice in his works.
32He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.WEBHe looks at the earth, and it trembles. He touches the mountains, and they smoke.
33I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.WEBI will sing to Yahweh as long as I live. I will sing praise to my God while I have any being.
34My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.WEBLet my meditation be sweet to him. I will rejoice in Yahweh.
35Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.WEBLet sinners be consumed out of the earth. Let the wicked be no more. Bless Yahweh, my soul. Praise Yah!
