1A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.WEBA Psalm by David. Yahweh says to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool for your feet.”

2The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.WEBYahweh will send out the rod of your strength out of Zion. Rule among your enemies.

3Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.WEBYour people offer themselves willingly in the day of your power, in holy array. Out of the womb of the morning, you have the dew of your youth.

4The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.WEBYahweh has sworn, and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”

5The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.WEBThe Lord is at your right hand. He will crush kings in the day of his wrath.

6He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.WEBHe will judge among the nations. He will heap up dead bodies. He will crush the ruler of the whole earth.

7He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.WEBHe will drink of the brook on the way; therefore he will lift up his head.
