Psalm 126

Show:

1A Song of degrees. When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.WEBA Song of Ascents. When Yahweh brought back those who returned to Zion, we were like those who dream.

2Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.WEBThen our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “Yahweh has done great things for them.”

3The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.WEBYahweh has done great things for us, and we are glad.

4Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.WEBRestore our fortunes again, Yahweh, like the streams in the Negev.

5They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.WEBThose who sow in tears will reap in joy.

6He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.WEBHe who goes out weeping, carrying seed for sowing, will certainly come again with joy, carrying his sheaves.
