Psalm 138
1A Psalm of David. I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.WEBBy David. I will give you thanks with my whole heart. Before the gods, I will sing praises to you.
2I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.WEBI will bow down toward your holy temple, and give thanks to your Name for your loving kindness and for your truth; for you have exalted your Name and your Word above all.
3In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.WEBIn the day that I called, you answered me. You encouraged me with strength in my soul.
4All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.WEBAll the kings of the earth will give you thanks, Yahweh, for they have heard the words of your mouth.
5Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.WEBYes, they will sing of the ways of Yahweh, for Yahweh’s glory is great!
6Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.WEBFor though Yahweh is high, yet he looks after the lowly; but he knows the proud from afar.
7Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.WEBThough I walk in the middle of trouble, you will revive me. You will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies. Your right hand will save me.
8The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.WEBYahweh will fulfill that which concerns me. Your loving kindness, Yahweh, endures forever. Don’t forsake the works of your own hands.
