1To the chief Musician, A Psalm and Song of David. Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed. WEBFor the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. A song. Praise waits for you, God, in Zion. Vows shall be performed to you.

2O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come. WEBYou who hear prayer, all men will come to you.

3Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away. WEBSins overwhelmed me, but you atoned for our transgressions.

4Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple. WEBBlessed is the one whom you choose and cause to come near, that he may live in your courts. We will be filled with the goodness of your house, your holy temple.

5By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea: WEBBy awesome deeds of righteousness, you answer us, God of our salvation. You who are the hope of all the ends of the earth, of those who are far away on the sea.

6Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power: WEBBy your power, you form the mountains, having armed yourself with strength.

7Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people. WEBYou still the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations.

8They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice. WEBThey also who dwell in faraway places are afraid at your wonders. You call the morning’s dawn and the evening with songs of joy.

9Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it. WEBYou visit the earth, and water it. You greatly enrich it. The river of God is full of water. You provide them grain, for so you have ordained it.

10Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof. WEBYou drench its furrows. You level its ridges. You soften it with showers. You bless it with a crop.

11Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness. WEBYou crown the year with your bounty. Your carts overflow with abundance.

12They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side. WEBThe wilderness grasslands overflow. The hills are clothed with gladness.

13The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing. WEBThe pastures are covered with flocks. The valleys also are clothed with grain. They shout for joy! They also sing.
