1To the chief Musician upon Neginah, A Psalm of David. Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.WEBFor the Chief Musician. For a stringed instrument. By David. Hear my cry, God. Listen to my prayer.

2From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.WEBFrom the end of the earth, I will call to you when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

3For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.WEBFor you have been a refuge for me, a strong tower from the enemy.

4I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.WEBI will dwell in your tent forever. I will take refuge in the shelter of your wings. Selah.

5For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.WEBFor you, God, have heard my vows. You have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.

6Thou wilt prolong the king’s life: and his years as many generations.WEBYou will prolong the king’s life. His years will be for generations.

7He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.WEBHe shall be enthroned in God’s presence forever. Appoint your loving kindness and truth, that they may preserve him.

8So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.WEBSo I will sing praise to your name forever, that I may fulfill my vows daily.
